Order Picking

Scheffer has revolutionized the product-to-man picking process, bringing significant gains in ergonomics and internal movement efficiency. Our solution uses automated stacker cranes that deliver the product directly to the operator. After picking the material, the system automatically re-stores it, ensuring a continuous and organized flow.
The picking stations are meticulously designed for the operator to work in an ergonomic and safe position, combining comfort with agility in the picking process. In addition to a monitor guiding the operator at each step, we also employ auxiliary devices, such as light grids, which further increase system efficiency.
This approach not only improves the safety and health of operators but also maximizes productivity, setting a new standard of excellence in logistics and automation.

Differentials

Economy
Operational reduction
and error reduction.
Integration
Less movement between
picking processes.
Customization
Careful analysis of all
details for each client.
Ergonomics
The operator has free
hands for operation.

Pick to Light

The “Pick to Light” system revolutionizes efficiency in order picking by visually guiding the operator to precise locations and speeding up the item placement process. In the Put to Light system, LEDs guide the operator visually to the exact location where each order item should be placed. Each location is associated with a specific order and has a corresponding LED.

Differentials

Reliability
The operation occurs item by item. Once
the item is identified, the LEDs indicate
to the operator where it should be placed
and the quantity required for the order.
Safety
Allows the operator to
view the display and keep
hands free for
the operation.
Economy
Operational reduction
and error reduction.
Versatility
Capability to group small orders
to reduce the number of boxes
in the picking line, facilitating
subsequent order splitting
using Put to Light.

Pick to Belt

The “Pick to Belt” system involves picking products directly onto conveyor belts, which move the items to different consolidation or packing points.
Here’s how it works:

Task Receipt: The operator receives picking instructions, usually through a warehouse management system (WMS).

Item Picking: The operator picks the items from shelves or bins as indicated by the system.

Belt Placement: Items are placed on a conveyor belt that takes them to a central consolidation point or directly to the packing area.

Automated Movement: The conveyor belt moves the products efficiently and quickly to the next stages of the process.

Differentials

Increased Productivity
Allows operators to focus solely on item
picking while movement is automated.
Reduced Handling
Less need for manual handling of items,
reducing time and physical effort.
Continuous Workflow
Facilitates a continuous
and efficient workflow.
